Better Together Design Jam

The intention of the design jam was to support and build on UW’s Better Together and Local Love movements, which focused on tangible actions in our communities with the common goal of changing and improving lives. Recognizing that these actions came in many forms and scales, the event emphasized that each small action added up to something larger than any one of us could accomplish alone.

The Jam Challenge centered around developing a personal commitment to support the neighborhood in some way—aligning participants’ passions, understanding of the place, and abilities to give back. It aimed to uncover unique ways of engaging with the neighborhood and making a positive impact.
